Jodi has more than 20 years of service working on behalf of children and families across the state. In February 2009, she was hired as the first executive director of PennAEYC after having worked for 10 years at Early Connections, Inc. a social service agency in Erie, PA specializing in children’s early care and education, community outreach and professional development services.
Jodi’s expertise includes non-profit management, fundraising, community organizing and advocacy. Through her leadership, PennAEYC has been recognized as achieving Tier Two Standards for Excellence in Non-Profit Management through the Pennsylvania Association for Non-profit Organizations. Recognized as a state leader in advocacy, Jodi is currently the Co-Chair of the Early Learning PA Campaign and a principal partner in the Pre-K for PA Campaign.
Jodi has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Arizona State University and a Master’s of Science in Community Counseling from Gannon University. She also currently serves as a member of the Governor’s Early Learning Council and has served on several local boards and early care and education committees.
Jodi is married to Todd and mother of Alexa and Julianna Askins.
