Keevan Merryman

Program, Policy and Advocacy Associate

Keevan supports PennAEYC’s programmatic work and operations. She assists with membership reporting, services, outreach, and support, as well as professional development activities. She monitors SharedSourcePA.org, organizational email accounts/websites, and provides the organization technical support. Keevan manages the Start Strong PA and Pre-K for PA Leadership in Action program and materials distribution and supports general campaign operations as well. In addition to this work, she helps with campaign events at the Capitol and surrounding areas, as well as attends legislative meetings. Keevan also helps with vendor/campaign tables at conferences throughout the state.

Before joining the PennAEYC team, Keevan started her education at Harrisburg Area Community College and received an Associate of Arts in Social Science in 2018. After receiving this degree, Keevan transferred to Millersville University; she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work in 2020. Keevan held an internship at the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations, a statewide membership organization that supports PA’s nonprofits, during her last semester at Millersville University, where she helped primarily with administrative tasks among other duties. Keevan attended Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Service Master of Social Work program focusing most of her studies on policy/advocacy and research.  While continuing to work at PennAEYC and finishing graduate school, Keevan held an internship at the National Association of Social Workers Pennsylvania Chapter.  She completed her degree in December of 2022.
